Lady Lions Basketball Gets First Win In Overtime

The Liberty Lions escape the Indy Howe Hornets to win the first game of the year in an overtime finish 44-42. Not Having Maddy Harmon for over half of the year last year, this was her first game back from her ACL tear last December. She would finish with 5 points and 8 rebounds. Other key players that helped the Lady’s with the win were Elena Tufts with 24 points and 11 rebounds, Shameel Clervrain with 8 points, Irelynd Evans with 3 points, and Mady Rees & Jayma Morrow with 2 points each. Another key thing that helped the Lady Lions pull through was their defense. They would rack up 14 steals on the night.

The Lady lions will play their first home game of the year on Tuesday, Nov 12th against Southern Wells at 6:30 at the DEN. Come out and support your Liberty Christian Lady Lions!
