Lions battled for one last time this season on Friday night at the second round sectionals game. Liberty played Daleville in the second round of the sectional. The guys played their hearts out but could not outscore the Broncos. The final score of the game was 50-42. The game had high intensity from both teams and both teams fan bases. At the half the Lions trailed 24-23. The game was close the whole time, with the score going back and forth. The leading scorer was Christian Nunn with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Lions finished the season with a record of 12-12 for the official season and 3-2 for the conference. We want to all thank our seniors; Kenny Lofton, Landan McCord, Cade McCord, and Josh Johnson for your hard work. Thank you to those who played varsity over your four seasons with the Lions. You will all be missed. Once a Lion, always a Lion.
