Liberty Lions boys and girls basketball had a double header Saturday night against Indianapolis Metropolitan. Boys fell 66-51 but dug themselves out of a deeper hole. They battled hard from being down 48-29 at one point. Lions came within one point in the fourth quarter but could not pull through. The leading scorer was Christian Nunn with 16 points. Joshua Cabello and Cade McCord tied for second with 9 points. Cabello also having 10 rebounds. Lions trailed the entire game with a score at the end of 1 being 19-11, at the half the score was 40-24, after the third the score was 48-36. Lions fell 66-51.
Lions play again Tuesday at Guerin Catholic in Noblesville with a jv start time at 6 with the varsity to follow. The Lions are now 6-7 for the season.
