Lions Clings To Victory As Seton Catholic Nearly Erases 4-Run Deficit

Lions got out to a four-run lead in the fifth inning and held on for a 4-3 victory over Seton Catholic on Monday. Seton Catholic scored three runs in the failed comeback on a groundout by Paige Klaine in the sixth, a groundout by Kara Amyx in the seventh, and a double by Grace Amyx in the seventh.

Alayna Thomas was credited with the victory for Lions. She surrendered three runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out eight.

Taylor Haager took the loss for Seton Catholic. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out nine.

Martina Brown went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lions in hits.
