Game 1: South Adams Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory

Lions fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 10-0 loss to South Adams on Saturday. South Adams scored on a double by Collin Shaffer, a double by Aaron Timmons, and a single by Nick Miller in the first inning.

The Lions struggled to contain the high-powered offense of South Adams, giving up ten runs.

In the first inning, South Adams got their offense started. Shaffer doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

A single by Johnny Harrison in the second inning was a positive for Lions.

Adam Besser got the start for South Adams. He lasted four innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking one.

Justin Sheets led things off on the mound for Lions. He went three innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out one. Aidan Smith threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.

HarrisonJared Helm, and Beckham Chappell each collected one hit to lead LionsLions didn’t commit a single error in the field. Smith had the most chances in the field with three.

South Adams tallied nine hits on the day. ShafferMiller, and Besser all collected multiple hits for South Adams.

Game 2: Early Lead For South Adams Seals Fate For Lions

Lions watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-0 loss to South Adams on Saturday. South Adams scored on a double by N Stuber, a single by Grady Sprunger, a walk by Nick Miller, a single by Austin Gorney, and a single by AJ Dull in the first inning.

The Lions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing South Adams, giving up 14 runs.

South Adams got on the board in the first inning when Stuber doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Grant Besser toed the rubber for South Adams. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 14 and walking zero.

Aidan Smith was on the hill for Lions. He allowed five runs on three hits and walked one.Beckham Chappell and Johnny Harrison entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three innings and one inning respectively.

South Adams tallied ten hits. GorneyBesser, and Dull each had multiple hits for South Adams. South Adams was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Dull made the most plays with 11. South Adams stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Stuberled the way with two.
