Big Second Inning Propels Lions Win Over Columbus Christian

Lions put up nine runs in the second on its way to a 13-3 victory over Columbus Christian on Tuesday. Lions big bats were led by Gabe ToppinAidan Smith, and Jared Helm, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Beckham Chappell got the start for Lions. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five.

L Nickerson led things off on the hill for Columbus Christian. He surrendered 13 runs on six hits over three innings, striking out two. L Croslole threw one inning in relief.

Helm led Lions with two hits in three at bats. Toppin led Lions with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 11 stolen bases.
