Lions’s Strong Offense Falls Just Short To Bethesda Christian

Bethesda Christian bested Lions in a high-scoring affair, 17-6.

The Lions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Bethesda Christian, giving up 17 runs.

Bethesda Christian got on the board in the second inning when S Koch singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, Lions tied things up at five when Brianna Greenlee singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Bethesda Christian pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third C Caessingled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, L Tabler singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, J Dodson doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs, and M Fulks homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

B Dodson got the win for Bethesda Christian. She lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and six runs while striking out eight.

Paige Grant took the loss for Lions. She lasted seven innings, allowing 19 hits and 17 runs while striking out one and walking one.

Mady Rees led Lions with two hits in two at bats.

Bethesda Christian saw the ball well today, racking up 19 hits in the game. CaesDodsonR ShaferKochA HeimFulks, and Dodson each racked up multiple hits for Bethesda Christian.Caes went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Bethesda Christian in hits. Bethesda Christian didn’t commit a single error in the field. Shafer had the most chances in the field with ten.
