Lions Falls To Union City After Sixth Inning Score

Lions stayed in it until the end, but Union City pulled away late in a 6-4 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Union City batting in the top of the sixth when S Lutz drew a walk, scoring one run.

A Gray earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for Union City. She went seven innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out two.

Alayna Thomas took the loss for Lions. She surrendered six runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out 11.

Lions socked one home run on the day. Thomas had a long ball in the sixth inning.

Thomas led Lions with three hits in four at bats.

Union City had eight hits in the game. Lutz and K Reichard all managed multiple hits for Union City.
